Betta of the Month: June 2012 - Fancy HMPK
Fancy HMPK
Bred by Mr. Majcha - Thailand
We have chosen this fish because of its
extraordinary colorpattern. Too our knowledge we have never seen a colorpattern
like this before on a betta.
We thank Tindra for bringing this fish under
our attention.
Betta of the Month: May 2012
Metallic blue DT female
Bred by Chaba
Purchased by Michel Stokkelaar (Nightshift).
Now owned by Jamie King (Paradox_error)
We have chosen this female because of her
balanced appearance and stunning color. The body shows a good length and shape
with a smooth topline. The split results in two almost equally distributed caudal
lobes. The width of the dorsal fin is almost an exact copy of the anal fin and
their raylength nicely match that of the caudal fin resulting in a balanced
overall appearance.
Betta of the Month: April 2012 - Steel
Metallic HMPK
Steel blue metallic HMPK
Bred by: Joep Van Esch (Joepmaster: the
Netherlands) - http://www.bettaterritory.nl
This month's BOM was one of the easiest for
the B4A team to decide - well, except for Joep who wouldn't comment on our
decision!
This is one of the most stunning HMPKs we
have ever seen. Not only its incredible colour, but particularly its compact
and nearly symmetrical finnage. This is a fish any HMPK breeder would kill to
have in his fishroom!
Betta of the Month: March 2012 - Orange HMPK
Female
Bred by Bettahut, Thailand
Owned by Michel Stokkelaar (Nightshift), the
Netherlands
We chose this fish because it is rare to see
a female with such amazing quality finnage. In addition, her colour is quite
stunning.
Betta of the Month: February 2012
Copper CT male
Bred by Jos Betta Indonesia
We chose this stunning male because of his
superb balance and finnage. He has a nice strong body, which is something we
don't see in a lot of CTs. His dorsal is very broad, and his caudal has
excellent spread with even ray-splitting. Overall, a truly remarkable CT!
Betta of the Month: January 2012
I was lucky enough to see this fish live in
Thailand on the 11th of December:
Bred by: Pichet (Interfish) Thailand
This was an easy decision for the team this
month. This fish has not only amazing finnage, but also an exceptional colour
pattern. The red underlayer shown by the missing dragon scaling helps make this
fish so unique.
